Steps in the Admission Process
For a candidate to be registered in an institution from 2024 Admissions Exercise,
he or she must have:
i. been recommended by the institution;
ii. been approved and admitted by JAMB;
iii. accepted the offer online on JAMB’s website at no cost;
iv. printed both Result Slip and Admission Letter directly from JAMB’s website;
v. presented the two (2) documents in (iv) above to the Institution; and
vi. been screened and must have presented acceptable credentials including
those in (iv) above.
What is the minimum JAMB score required by institutions?
The joint Admission and Matriculation Board have decided to list all the institutions in Nigeria including private, state and federal universities, polytechnics and college of education with the JAMB score required by each of this tertiary institutions. Is NIN Needed for JAMB 2024?
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Federal Government at large said it will no longer register candidates who do not have the National Identity Number (NIN) for the upcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This was made known by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, in Abuja during the 2020 Ministerial press briefing.
In order for you to participate in the JAMB UTME 2024, you must have the National Identification Number (NIN). Thankfully, it is quite easy to print out.
Don’t be disturbed, getting your National Identity Number (NIN) is not a big deal and its totally free of charge. All you need do is walk into any of its center around you and registered. Be guided, NIN registration is totally free.
How to Register for JAMB 2024 Examination
Before we proceed with the JAMB 2024 registration, there are few documents requirements and they includes:
– Personal e-mail address and mobile phone number
– Create your JAMB profile
– JAMB ePIN registration payment
– Visit any accredited CBT centers with your personal details, the profile and evidence of payment.
– The CBT centers or JAMB State Office, supplies, at no extra cost, the prescribed reading text and the CD containing:
a) e-brochure showing guidelines on admission detailing the list of tertiary institutions and available programmes of study.
b) Syllabus (e-syllabus) for the examination.
c) Step by step guide on completion of the application form.
d) A video message from the Registrar of JAMB and a demo on how to use eight (8) keys for the UTME examination without mouse. (For candidates with little familiarity with Computers).
vii. Each Candidate is to complete the online application form by supplying the required details such as name, e-mail address, L.G.A., academic qualification, etc.
viii. At the CBT centers, the Candidate’s ten fingers biometric and image will be captured and uploaded.
ix. O/L and/or A/L grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the result online as soon as the results are available on JAMB’s portal.
x. Each Candidate is to collect his e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration.
There will be no offline registration, as all the accredited CBT centers have been empowered for real life online registration.
