Admission Requirements
Candidates for postgraduate study at the University of Abuja must have earned at least five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings of the WASC NECO GCE (Ordinary Level) or its equivalent.
2. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least a second class lower division in the pertinent discipline in order to apply for the M.A., M.Ed., M. Eng., MVPH, MVPM, and M.Sc. degrees in any field.
3. A Candidate for a Ph.D. in any Programme of the University of Abuja must have obtained a minimum weighted average score of 60% (4 points) letter grade “B” average performance in the Master’s Degree.
4. When applying for a Ph.D. with a Master’s from another university, a candidate must offer and successfully complete all required courses with a minimum grade of “B” or 60% (4 points) in order to be considered.
This requirement applies even if the candidate has not previously taken the mandatory courses or ones that are similar to those at the University of Abuja.
5. Candidates for any of the postgraduate diploma programs must have a university degree with at least a third-class grade or an HND with at least a Lower Credit.
6. MBBS and BDS are prerequisites for the MPH in Community Medicine, whereas the MPH in Sexual and Reproductive Health requires a health-related degree.

How to Apply for UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Form 2026/2027
A non-refundable Application fee of N20,500.00 should be paid to the University of Abuja Account through REMITA via the University of Abuja Portal. Applicants are advised to access REMITA through the University of Abuja Portal below for record purposes.
1. Visit https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng
2. Click on “Click here to apply“ On the left pane, click on Postgraduate
3. Enter the requested details (surname, first name, other names, email, and phone number) and click Next
4. On the payment preview page, click on Generate RRR
5. Click make payment and you will be redirected to the Remita platform, enter your card details (Master Card or Visa Card)
6. After a successful payment, you will be redirected back to the portal, the application number generated and you will be logout out.
7. Click on “Main Login”, and enter the generated application number and surname as the password to continue the application process
